Kim Mangle, Principal of Kim Mangle Consulting LLC, founded her company in mid-2009 to help non-profit and government organizations reach their full potential.  Since then, she has raised over $12 million in grant funding, and approximately $2 million through other innovative fundraising methods such as social enterprise and individual donor funds. She has also provided valuable management and strategic planning services.

Since 1998, Kim has worked with nonprofit and government organizations in a variety of capacities: as a staff member, a board member, a volunteer and as a consultant.  Her staff experience includes serving as the Development Director for the Colorado Consumer Health Initiative, managing the robust statewide volunteer and community outreach programs for the 9Health Fair,  serving as Field Director for the successful Amendment 35 Tobacco Tax Campaign, and coordinating fundraising efforts and volunteer programs at the HIV/AIDS Resource Center in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Kim also served as a Program Officer at the Colorado Health Foundation, which is the largest health foundation in Colorado.  In that capacity, she worked closely with many non-profits throughout the state, reviewed grant proposals, conducted due diligence on organizations requesting funding, and made funding recommendations to the staff and board.  She also assisted in the development of the Foundation's $10.8 million School-Based Health Care initiative.

She received her Masters in Public Administration from the University of Colorado at Denver School of Public Affairs where she focused on health care policy and non-profit management,  her Bachelor's in Political Science from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and a second Bachelor's in Spanish from the Metropolitan State College of Denver.  She is fluent in Spanish and has lived in Chile and traveled extensively in South America and Mexico.

Kim has also received Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certification. This rigorous certification from CFRE International "recognizes fundraising professionals  aspiring to the highest standards of ethics, competence and service to the philanthropic sector."

Kim is a native of Golden and her family has deep roots in Jefferson County and Colorado. She has served on various nonprofit boards, such as the Golden Schools Foundation and the Colorado Minority Health Forum. She graduated from Leadership Golden in 2018 and has volunteered extensively in her children's school, including serving as past chair of the school's Health and Wellness Committee, past co-chair of the School and Community Garden Committee, and past chair of the School Accountability Committee. She also founded the Golden Nonprofit Leadership Roundtable and helped to develop Volunteer Goldena clearinghouse for volunteer opportunities in Golden, Colorado.

In her time away from work, Kim can be found enjoying time with her husband and two children and their two energetic Australian Shepherds. They especially love spending time outside in beautiful Colorado. Kim is a passionate telemark skier and cyclist (road and mountain biking). She also loves playing piano and guitar, practicing yoga, camping, hiking and backpacking.
